{what's up next?!}

Six of the skirts in the post below showing my new stuff have sold. The rest, along with the others I had left are headed to 'Barefoot Living' this afternoon for their sale this week. And if you can't afford to buy my new, handmade stuff, be sure to stop by the shop anyway. Tonia and Shelly find the best gently used stuff for great prices!

And what am I doing now? Now that the big to-do pile is done AND I now have my small to-do pile done too?? Well... I'm going to start cutting out some really fun stuff. Stuff out of the fabric in these pics. And these skirts will be going somewhere new. Somewhere really fun! I'll keep you posted!

*Don't forget to comment on the post directly below this to enter my giveaway if you haven't yet! I'll draw 2 names tomorrow sometime!!*

Bountiful Blessings

I just love fresh garden produce. Since we live in town we don't grow much. We've tried for years to grow good tomatoes. I remember 1 year when we had a bunch and I made and canned salsa. This year I finally said "NO MORE!" I'm so tired of planting the plants and looking forward to plump, ripe tomatoes and then watching the vines dry up and only having small green tomatoes no matter what we try. We have an herb garden and it does seem to flourish:) I make mint tea regularly in the summer. I have a recipe out of a Southern Living that I've become addicted to the past month. It has mint and lemonade concentrate in it and it is absolutely the best.
I love how the fresh mint looks all washed and ready for the tea syrup. (I also love how I can take a neat looking picture by zooming in and you can't see the mess my sink was in!!)
Fresh mint
Fresh tomatoes and sweet onion
( I like how I could zoom in on this shot and you can't see my overflowing, open dishwasher!)
These tomatoes and the onion came from friends who have huge tomatoes in abundance. Thanks Junell!

beans, blanched and ready for the freezer
I haven't done beans for years. Literally. I'm getting a little tired of grocery beans though they really aren't too bad. But when I got the chance at these I took it! They even came right to my door already picked. The sisters helped me snap them and then I just washed, blanched, bagged and froze them:) Thanks Kathy M.! You are truly a blessing to us.
