Steps to a Happy Fourth.

Sign made out of a recycled shipping box.
Red and white striped fabric and red duct tape...
...turned into a no-sew bunting.

Hydrangeas from a friends gorgeous Annabelle bushes. (note to self: plant Annabelles!)
Set up serving buffet that hubby made several years ago.  (Idea is from Martha Stewart over 5 years ago)
Hang home made sign.
Accessorize.
Set up tables.  If you don't have enough cute seating, have husband make legs to go under a cute old door that is taking up space in the garage.
Haul kitchen table outside.
Top tables with vintage tablecloths.
Even a not-so-cute picnic table looks better w/ a vintage tablecloth topper and hydrangeas:)
Accessorize some more.
Enter chips and Salsa made by Kara

Add bread with Marinara, fresh mozzarella, cherub tomatoes and sweet basil from your own herb garden.
Blue iced cupcakes provided by Steph.  Big Sister was pleased that they were blue as she thought her mom did a poor job of adding enough blue to the mix.
No summer get-together is complete without a freezer of home made Ice Cream!

Pork chops and foot long hot dogs - grilled by Travis:)  Mac and Cheese and an absolutely delicious cucumber salad made by Jessica.  Salsa and baked beans - Kara.

Cute napkins provided by Jessica - Target clearance:)
Darling 'napkin rings' ...

...that were a part of this hostess gift from Kara.  LOVE LOVE LOVE!  Even if she did disobey my facebook instructions that 'no hostess gifts are allowed'!!  Thanks Kara, your the best:)

Out-of-this-world cookies made by Steph.  Also the strawberries and blueberries that put the ice cream in the true spirit of the holiday!
Little boys who thoroughly enjoy their blue-iced cupcakes!

This adorable little girl in her vintage inspired red and white dress!

watching this little guy drink water out of someones croc...
...act very pleased with himself over it...

... and head straight to the sandbox from the pool!

A pool full of kids having a ball on a hot, hot day.

All added together equalled one of the best Independence Day's we've had!

This looks like a darling party! I loves seeing you and the house once again! and it's ok... you can think I'm a crazy stalker/fan... I am! :) I asked Levi if he thought that you might think that and he said it was so obvious that you HAD to KNOW it! :) I laughed! :)

Really cute party... It looks like a lot of work! I don't know how I could fit party into my hectic schedule of laying out at the pond every afternoon! How do you keep your silver so shiny? Loved seeing Meg Rosa!
