Grocery Shopping/Herbs/Dinner

Tip: A Huge Strawberry Limeaid from Sonic (bought for $1.33 durring 'happy hour') makes grocery shopping at Meijer a whole lot more fun!  Meijer even has cup holders on their carts:)

This is what my kitchen table looks like after grocery shopping.  It had been a couple weeks (at least) since I went. 

I am in love with my herb garden.  I am determined to come up with more recipes that use fresh herbs, that I will actually make, and expand my varieties.  Shown here - fresh chocolate mint, fresh parsley, and fresh basil.

There is nothing quite like 100% whole wheat Boboli shell w/ Marinara, fresh basil, tomatoes, fresh mozeralla and a blend of swiss and mozeralla freshly grated.  We also had fresh ravioli w/ alfredo and marinara, salads made w/ fresh garden lettuce, fresh parsley, freshly grated cheese, and a few other things tossed in.  My kids raved over what they ate of it which is kind of rare around here!  Of course 'Little Sister' ate boxed Mac and cheese.  But at least she ate.  I guess.  Anyway most of us ate 'fresh' stuff!  Have I ever mentioned that I love summer??  I do.  And this year I haven't complained once about heat or humidity.  After last winter I say 'BRING IT ON!'

I'm actually looking forward to what is forcast for tomorrow:)
