GREY! and red, and black...

I painted my kitchen walls last Saturday. I've slowly been working on the rest of the painting this week. Woodwork, windows, cabinets, touch up...

THIS is what my paint cans, brushes and socks looked like at 10:00 Saturday night. (this takes a LOT of old socks - and even some not-so-old socks when the old ones run out!)

I'm liking the way my kitchen looks for the first time in 12 years:-)
Thanks to:
Corey for the idea for my technique.
Jessica for having leftover grey paint, for finding the absolute best grey color for my woodwork and main color, for advice on what to get for the new flooring, for the crown stickers, and for babysitting!
Marty for giving me some old grey paint she had. It was a wonderful addition to my lineup of grey. It was shinier than the others and really added some depth and texture. LOVE IT!
Travis for being around Saturday to help with the girls while I was elbow deep in paint, for liking it so well when I was done, for taking down and putting back cabinets, for moving furniture, and not getting mad when I got paint ALL OVER the floor!
More pics to come later, now I'm off to open the BLACK paint and paint some lower cabinets!
