Photo editing and re-editing

I am still trying to figure out photo editing:)  I have some blogs I follow that have the most wonderful photos on them.  Great photos is the main reason I look at magazines.  So I want mine to be great photos too.  Because I want you all to enjoy looking at my blog!  A better camera is a must I know.  (it IS coming soon, I promise!)

So here is the first photo from my previous post with a little cropping being the only editing done.

This was my editing from last night.  Which on my laptop I rather like it this way.  But as a friend commented the colors are a little 'off'.  And when I went to my desktop they were really off!

Here is today's re-edit.  What does this one look like?

Here is another photo from last night's edit.  Again, I like it on my laptop but on my desktop it is too vibrant, too much.

How about this re-edit?  Which looks the best on your computer and which do you prefer??

I probably like the re-edit, but sometimes it's just fun to do funky edits..

I like the re-edit on my computer. The first ones are a little "brightish/off"...fun if that's the look you're going for, but not realistic for all pictures.

If you want to keep your photos more natural, stay with less vibrancy in your color, as in the editing job on the children's photo. Also, was it your intention to blur some of the subjects in the photo of the people sitting at the table?
What program are you using? I like Picasa- it's easy to control and has lots of options. :-)

Like the re-edits better but I agree with Deborah and Rachel, it's fun to do some funky stuff sometimes.
