It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

This is what my dining room looked like yesterday morning when I first pulled out all my Christmas decor.  I very much enjoy decorating my house, especially for Christmas.  So over the past 12 years my stash of Christmas decor has grown A LOT!  Maybe too much.  But I'm not going to go there right now:)  I'll show you the 'after' photos soon.
Do you decorate for Christmas?

We are putting our tree up tomorrow. I'm kind of obnoxious about making a big deal of it. I remember when I was a kid my dad would sit in his lazyboy chair while Mom and I schlepped boxes from the attic and put the tree up. But I have wonderful memories of the smell of pine, the 8Track of White Christmas and a little brass angel carousel that spun when candles were light underneath. So I make sure we have Christmas carols playing and the whole family has to participate in the decorating. The good thing is Mr. Steady enjoys putting the tree up and putting the lights on, or at least pretends to. We had homemade waffles and "rolly" sausage for Christmas morning growing up but since Christmas moves around so much that has become our Tree Trimming Supper. So tomorrow night we'll have waffles and sausage for supper :o)

Hey - your table looks just like mine right now! :) It struck me today how much "work" it is to do this each year. Still, I couldn't imagine the season without it!

Absolutely, Its Jesus' Birthday and what a better time to put on the Glitz. He is our whole consumation for life,he is our provider and we must celebrate his birthday! We would not be if not for him. He came as a Babe in the manger in the lowly secluded village of Bethlehem. Lets lift him up to where as the KING OF KINGS!!! I want to see your celebration asap!!!
